Classic Summer Wedding at the Hotel Monaco in Washington, DC: David and Elizabeth

The Hotel Monaco in Washington, DC has long been one of my favorite wedding venues to work at. The timeless elegance is perfect for a wedding at any time of year. David and Elizabeth planned a beautiful summer wedding with classic details in a dusty blue and gold color palette. I loved Elizabeth’s simple wedding dress with the beautiful lace detailing. The bridesmaids were light and airy in their mix and match style, dusty blue bridesmaids dresses. The ballroom space at the Hotel Monaco is perfect for a wedding ceremony to give the feeling of a ceremony in the round. Photographing Jewish weddings is always a delight because of all the emotions and traditions they bring, from the ketubah signing to the meaningful ceremony actions to the hora. There is never a dull moment! I especially love the trend of “end of the night” photos with the bride and groom, as seen here when we took some playful portraits in the suite’s bathtub. Even if you are not doing a special send off like a sparkler exit, talk to your photographer about doing some special portraits of just the two of you to end the night.
