Elk Neck State Park Engagement Session
I tell many clients that getting up early means one has even the Lincoln Memorial (nearly) to oneself. Few take me up on it. Fewer, still, are the couples that like to hike. Michelle and Jeff would have, I am sure, pitched a tent for a good photo if they didn't have work the next morning. That's because they've already done the hard part: they found each other again, after years apart in separate lives, and they know how special this is.
We hiked up Elk Neck Park's Turkey Point to the lighthouse for the sunset. The weather seemed iffy early in the day, but by afternoon, the skies brightened beautifully. Being in the outdoors invites the unexpected, and that can mean rain or sun, but I find that feeling open brings new opportunities just as surely as anything. Perhaps, it's even a metaphor for marriage.
