Fall District Winery Wedding: Kaitlyn + John
Kaitlyn and John have such an enthusiasm for each other, we found it inspiring to photograph them. Starting at their house, it had that lovely expectant nervousness, the suspenseful tension that you see its effect in its release. When Kaitlyn came down the stairs all dressed up, her smile lit up the room and almost distracted me from doing my job. And, later, I saw John’s face as they walked down the aisle after just being married, and knew that I had found the photographic matching set.
As with any wedding, the faces around a couple also tell an important part of the story. During the first look, their friends were watching from the observation window (to the winery production room), and that encapsulated the joy I found among their guests. As the night continued, everyone danced, and kept on dancing.
I think that we were very successful photographing this wedding in a large part because we talked a lot about what Kaitlyn and John liked in photographs, and some of the things that they hoped to see captured at their wedding. Although talking this over is part of the LoveLife process, I appreciate Kaitlyn and John for putting their own joy into our discussions. I’m happy not only with the photographs, but with delivering images to them that are really meant just for them.
