Glamorous Destination Wedding at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida: Tori and Chris
Chris and Tori’s wedding day was quite an adventure! Like many couples in 2020, they had to deal with Covid shut downs and rescheduling wedding plans. Their wedding day was rescheduled not once, but twice! It was important for Tori and Chris to be able to celebrate with all of their family and friends, and so they waited out the pandemic until it was safer to gather with all their loved ones. While this sweet couple lives in Boston, Palm Beach holds a special place in their hearts and is a place they spend a lot of time with their families so it made sense to plan a destination wedding by the beach.
My team and I are most often working in the Baltimore and Washington, DC areas so it’s always a treat to be able to travel with a couple to help them capture their wedding day. When I heard that Tori and Chris’ wedding would be at the Breakers in Palm Beach, I knew it was going to be an amazing wedding and a dream to photograph. We started wedding weekend with a bridal luncheon for Tori to celebrate with her bridesmaids and the women who are closest to her. That evening, a heartfelt rehearsal dinner was followed by a casual welcome party. How amazing is the bride’s lace jumpsuit?!
Fitting with a wedding near the beach, decor was tropical-inspired, in a subtle way, while still being elegant. A color palette of emerald green, gold, and white set the tone for the wedding reception with exciting details and a mix of textures. After a cathedral wedding ceremony, guests headed to The Breakers for cocktail hour in one of the opulent ballrooms that featured sequined table linens, velvet couches, and gold bars with a custom monogram logo that was created specifically for all of the wedding day details and branding. We managed to squeeze in a few portraits around the property before a rain shower breezed through.
The wedding reception ballroom was a sight to behold! There was an assorted variety of table designs with lush white floral and greenery centerpieces and an abundance of candlelight. Two long, S-shaped head tables lined the dance floor with lucite chairs and low, lush centerpieces. Other tables featured shimmery gold table linens, tall centerpieces of tropical leaves and greenery and tall candlelight centerpieces. The main focal point was the dance floor - the couple’s wedding monogram adorned the dance floor while a custom ribbon installation hung from above. The modern wedding cake was a show-stopping six tiers with flowers and pearl details. The live band kept the dance floor packed all night long while Bride Tori had one more surprise- a reception outfit change into an amazing bridal party dress with feathers. It was certainly a wedding weekend to remember!
