Arts Club Wedding: Kate and Andrew
For those of you who read their engagement session blog post, you already know that I have a solid relationship with Kate and Andrew, forged with shoe leather all around Manhattan. I hope to catch them somehow in the years to come and see what dances they've danced, what food they've tasted, and what parodies of TV shows they've filmed. The wedding photos below, then, feel to me like another chapter in a longer story.
There's a glimpse of the larger story in the photo right below. I'm reminded how much gesture can tell volumes, from expectation to joy, to humor and playfulness.
Kate and Andrew wanted an intimate wedding, and chose the Arts Club for that reason. During dinner, they truly made it seem like their own back yard. After dinner, the highlight for me, of course, was the tango they had worked on together for months. It's a good omen that they started their marriage with a joint creative endeavor, and...it was sexy.
Please notice all of the artwork, especially in the invitations. Kate did that.
All the best, you two. Stay in touch. Dag
