Eastern Shore Wedding: Amanda and Sam
Every wedding is different, as is every couple, and they reflect each other. I enjoyed capturing a bit of Amanda and Sam’s playfulness, humor, and sweetness. From the first few minutes at the wedding, it was obvious to me that nobody was going to leave early. Their friends and family truly enjoyed being together and it showed. Held at Amanda’s grandfather’s house on the Eastern Shore, the party kept going, sometimes stretching out onto the lawn, or on the dock, or back into the dance floor. Later in the evening, I stepped back to get a couple shots of the party from a distance, only to find (as you’ll see below) most of the men without shirts on the dance floor when I returned. One of the guests shouted into my ear, “Guess you didn’t expect this to happen!” Nope!
I loved the little details of the wedding—the cranes and the lanterns especially—they leant themselves to an overall atmosphere of a great social event on the water. When the time was right, we made a few portraits on the dock, catching the late afternoon light and a few moments with two best friends, now newlyweds.
