Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Wedding: Justin and Whitney
What can I say about Justin and Whitney?! They love their pug, cake is so important to them they had several made and went back for seconds, Justin can play some mean guitar, they love to dance, and their friends don't quit. For me, seeing a couple enjoy their own party so much is just magic for the camera.
About their pug, Louie. Hopefully you will notice the place cards they made for their guests. And you can see Louie at the First Look, too, bravely enduring the heat. Louie even made it onto the cake, too!
I knew beforehand that Justin was going to play a couple songs during the night with his old band. As a lover of live music, I looked forward to this. Nonetheless, I wasn't prepared for the wicked good playing he and his band dished out. It's the wedding equivalent of serenading someone's window, but with a large, happily unruly crowd of friends and family also in attendance. Take a look at the couple's rings, below, on Justin's customized Les Paul Gibson guitar.
It was my first time at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and my assistant and I scouted out the place beforehand. Justin and Whitney had some ideas for photos on the property, and when the light was right, we took advantage of everything we could. The staff there was so helpful, it really made my job easier. A shout out, too, to planner Cristina Calvert. Cristina was a great resource for me, and I think the whole day went smoothly because of her guidance.
Congrats to Justin and Whitney! I know you'll have a blast together. It was a pleasure to be there on your wedding day.
