Hay Adams Hotel Wedding: Laura and Julian

Usually, a wedding day in February is freezing, but Laura and Julian brought out the warmth and the sun that day. Sure, it was a bit chilly, but the sky was amazing looking out over the White House. (Plus, this location allowed Julian to geek out on history.) Together, Laura and Julian had that goofiness of people in love and happy. It comes out in their photos together, and extended to the warm, intimate setting downstairs during the reception. There were some touching words from friends and family, a great playlist from a friend rocked the dance floor. Laura and Julian both carried with them important mementos from the past, and to each other (see the jewelry and the watches).

Incidentally, the President of Italy was there that evening, and his security detail leant a few furtive, happy faces turned our way. It seems that Italians can't be 100% serious during a wedding, even when on duty!

I can think of no better way to start the year than with this lovely couple. I wish you the best, and thank you for the privilege of being there with you that day.
